Clean environments are necessary for nuclear weapon effects testing. Debris mitigation systems (DMS) are required to reduce the severity of the debris environments generated by plasma radiation sources (PRS). Applied Physics and Testing has developed all of the necessary components of a DMS.

1. UV Filter / Transparent Debris Shield (TDS)
   

   UV Filter/TDS significantly reduce UV transmission and decrease debris velocities.







2. Ultrafast Closure Valve (UCV)
   

   The UCV is an explosively driven valve that typically closes between 50-200µs (depending on specifications) to provide a robust, air tight seal.






3. Fast Gate
   

   This slim line, hermetic gate valve provides a means to isolate test samples from the test chamber environment and can also be used to protect diagnostics.
